Digital Smile Design

DSD is a unique dental treatment planning tool that strengthens Dr. Matt Smith’s diagnostic vision, enhances predictability, and improves communication between him and our patients. A treatment plan is completely based on a thorough analysis of the patient’s dental and facial proportions. Through the use of videos, photographs, and temporary mock-ups, DSD providers can get a better sense of the relationship between the lips, gums, and teeth, as well as how they work together to create the patient’s smile.

DSD Process

After the data is imported into the software, your Dr. Matt will look at the digital library of various forms and shapes that can be placed over the tops of your teeth in the images. This gives you a quick glimpse into what you can expect from the treatment, as well as gives the him what is needed to create a physical model with a dental lab. The images and videos help the lab create a more realistic model, which may include your facial aesthetics and other important aspects.

Tooth contouring and reshaping provide outstanding dental care benefits. So, stop suffering from dental disease, and call Dr. Matt Smith to enhance the appearance of your smile by fixing:

  • Uneven tooth length
  • Small chips
  • Pointy tooth edges
  • Slight overlaps
  • Minor bite problems

Dr. Matt Smith uses crowns and bridges to restore and enhance damaged teeth or take the place of missing teeth. A crown, also referred to as a cap, is used to cover a damaged tooth entirely. A crown not only strengthens a tooth but can dramatically improve a tooth’s appearance, shape, and alignment.

A bridge is an ideal method to fill the space created by missing teeth. A bridge is one or more artificial teeth cemented using the teeth on either side for support and is an excellent option for filling the space created by a missing tooth. The materials used may be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material made to match your natural tooth color. Dr. Smith will choose the best material for you based on your strength, wear, and esthetics requirements.

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to bond to your existing teeth.

Porcelain veneers can reinvigorate your smile with very thin layers of porcelain designed to improve the color, shape, and size of your teeth. Dr. Smith has taken the art of veneers and crowns to a new level, using the most advanced techniques to create an incredibly natural and beautiful smile.

Custom-made from the highest quality dental materials, veneers by Dr. Smith will match or replace your teeth to give you the smile you have always wanted.

The dental lasers used by Dr. Matt Smith are extremely effective at being able to precisely cut through the enamel, making them an ideal option for removing teeth and bone with great accuracy. This includes everything from shaping a tooth before getting a dental crown and shaving down uneven tooth structures to repair old dental fillings. Soft-tissue lasers can be used to reshape gummy smiles, to lengthen the appearance of teeth, to repair soft tissue defects, treat cold sores, remove benign tumors or even sleep apnea treatment.
quotes

I was very impressed with every facet of Stone Ridge Dental. The facility was state of the art. The receptionist was super friendly, setting the tone for the entire visit. The dental hygienist was efficient, thorough, and very friendly. Dr. Matt did an examination, explained the general condition of my teeth, and gave me additional info about a tooth that was at risk. – Christine J.

Orthodontics

A new way of fixing crowded teeth by treating the face, orthotropic, was developed to help guide the healthy growth of the upper and lower jaws. Guiding the development of the jaws forward can provide enough space for all the adult teeth while improving facial balance and appearance. Dr. Matt Smith believes orthodontics works best for children ages 4-9 as their jaw can easily be corrected. But orthotropic treatment is helpful for all ages, even helping adults.

Aligners

Dr. Matt Smith has completed extensive training to become an Invisalign certified provider. Metal Braces are not for everyone; that’s why Invisalign is an excellent option for straightening teeth, improving oral health, or having a great smile.

Dr. Matt Smith has completed extensive training to become an Invisalign certified provider. Metal braces are not for everyone; that’s why Invisalign is an excellent option for straightening teeth, improving oral health, or having a great smile.

If you are a candidate for Invisalign, your treatment will consist of a series of aligners that you switch out about every two weeks. Each aligner is individually crafted with exact calculations to shift your teeth into place gradually. And since your Invisalign system is custom-made for your teeth, you know you’ll end up with your perfect smile.

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. Invisalign has been proven effective in clinical research and orthodontic practices nationwide.

1. Beginning
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

2. Intermediate
As you replace each aligner with the next in your series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to their final position.

3. Over the hump
You’ll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment progresses as planned.

4. Finish Line
Total treatment time averages 9-15 months, and the average number of aligners during treatment is between 18-30. Still, both will vary based on your personal needs.

The Inman Aligner is a simple removable appliance used to align front teeth quickly and safely. It’s ideal as a stand-alone treatment or to align teeth prior to further cosmetic options such as bonding or minimal veneers.

The Inman Aligner has Nickel Titanium coil springs that gently oppose each other guide your teeth into a new position. The inner bow gently pushes forward, while the outer bow pulls back on the front teeth. In most cases, Inman Aligners are completed in 6-18 weeks.

Ask Dr. Matt Smith if the Inman Aligner is suitable for you.

  • If you're a good candidate, impressions will be taken of your teeth to fabricate your custom-made Inman Aligner.
  • Next, you will get an initial fitting of your Aligner.
  • You'll wear your custom Aligner 16-20 hours a day.
  • Receive regular checkups every 2-3 weeks.
  • As with other orthodontic treatments, we recommend retention in the form of a retainer to prevent relapse.
